Well I've chosen my final 18 images and as the course's requirements are to produce detailed description along with them, there we have it.
Image 1
S1/2.5 F3.5 ISO400 WB auto Flash on
Picture taken at a indoor shoot of the Church. I taken the photograph using the built in flash and hand holding the camera.
After taking the photograph was transferred onto my laptop and edited in Adobe Photoshop 7 I only slightly increased contrast. Then I added my signature. Image saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup. This picture was chosen as one of my final images because as I like the enhanced colours and textures in this photograph.
image 2
S1/4 F3.5 ISO400 WB auto Flash on
Picture taken at a indoor shoot of the Church. Camera was set up on my tripod and a built in flash was used. In this image I was trying to show as much of the Church's indoor details.
After taking the photograph was transferred from my camera onto the laptop then it was edited in Adobe Photoshop 7 I adjusted the saturation to -100, then increased contrast and amended brightness. Then I added my signature. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen it for my final image because I like the shadows, I think its effective and shows off a lot of the details.
image 3
S1/8 F4 ISO 1600 WB auto Flash on
Photograph taken at a indoor shoot whilst hand holding the camera. I kneeling down and placed the camera between the metal rails and tilted the camera slightly. As the inside of the Church is dark I've used the built in flash, in this picture the flash light has bounced off the rails created an unusual effect.
After taking image was transferred from my camera onto the laptop then opened in Adobe Photoshop 7 and the contrast was slightly adjusted to enhance the colours. Then a brightness increased and my signature added. Image saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen it as one of my final images because of the effect created by the flash.

image 4
S1/200 F5 ISO 200 WB auto Flash off
Photo taken on the outside of the church, camera set up on the tripod.
This image shows the front entrance to the Church. I tried to show all the details in the brickwork.I didn't use the flash as I decided the natural light was sufficient.
After taking this photo was transferred from my camera onto the laptop then it was edited in Adobe Photoshop 7 I adjusted the saturation to -100, then increased contrast and brightness. Then my signature was added. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen this photograph as one of my final images because I like the sharpness and details in the image.
image 5
S1/30 F9 ISO100 WB auto Flash off
Image taken on the outside of the Church, its a part of the side wall. I thought that would be an interesting subject especially as it was partly covered by the spiders web.
I was hand holding the camera whilst taking the photo and didn't use flash. After taking image was transferred from my camera onto the laptop then opened in in Adobe Photoshop 7. I edited the image by adjusting the saturation to -100, increasing contrast and adjusting brightness. Then my signature was added. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I've picked this photo as my final image because of textures and the detail of the web.
image 6
S1/320 F5 ISO 200 WBauto Flash off
Picture taken outside of the Church, the image shows the top of the brick fencing.
I was hand holding the camera during the process of taking this photo. To achieve a different effect I tilted the camera to the side. I didn't use flash as natural light in my opinion was enough.
After taking the photograph I transferred it from my camera onto the laptop then I edited in Adobe Photoshop 7. I adjusted the saturation to -100, then increased contrast and brightness. Then I added my signature. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen this image as I like the textures and tones in the photograph and the image shows the details how its been damaged over time.
image 7
S1/3 F5 ISO400 WB auto Flash on
This photograph was taken on the inside, flash was used. I was hand holding my camera and I slightly tilted my camera for a different angle. I focused the camera on the candle ,thinking at the same time of the background. I was happy for the cross to be kept in the frame to show the presents of the candle holder being kept within the theme.
After the photo was taken it was transferred from the camera onto the laptop then edited in Adobe Photoshop 7. I only slightly adjusted the contrast, afterwards I added my signature. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.I've chosen it as one of my final images because of its angle and that its mainly focused on the candle holder.
image 8
S1/4 F4 ISO400 WB auto Flash on
Picture taken at a indoor shoot, I used the built in flash to compensate for the poor lighting in the Church.
image 9
S1/10 F3.8 ISO 1600 WB auto Flash on
The purpose of this image was to present the details of the altar and its vivid colours. I used the built in flash, which created a lovely warmth in the image as the light bounced off the walls.
After the photo was taken it was transferred from the camera onto the laptop then opened in Adobe Photoshop 7. I didn't edit the image I only slightly cropped it then I placed my signature. Next step was saving it onto my laptop, transferring onto my memory stick for backup.
This photograph was chosen as my final image as I think shows all the best features of the beautiful altar, shimmering gold and stunning glowing colours.
image 10
S1/400 F5.6 ISO200 WB Flash off
This image of the Church's tower was taken on a sunny day/plenty of natural light therefore there was no need for flash.
I hand held the camera slightly tilting it, I thought it would be interesting to stand in between the trees creating an unusual frame of the tower. After I taken this picture, I've transferred it from my camera to the laptop and opened it in Adobe Photoshop 7 just to add my signature. I didn't think editing was needed. Then I've saved the photo onto my laptop, and copied it onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen this photo as one of my final ones because I like the blue sky and the framing.

S1/15 F3.5 ISO 1600 WB auto Flash on
This image was taken inside the church near the altars stair, a bit of a dark spot with not much artificial lighting therefore I had to use the flash. I hand held the camera and stud over the statuette slightly to achieve an unusual angle.I think that using the flash on this photo it has helped to bring out all the small details, creases and even dust. After I've taken the photograph it was transferred from the camera onto the laptop then opened in Adobe Photoshop 7. I didn't edit this photograph I felt there was no need for that I only added my signature. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I have chosen this photo as one of the final ones because of its textures and focus.

S1/5 F3.5 ISO400 WB auto Flash on
Photo taken inside of the church, again a darker spot so I had to use the built in flash. I think the candle light along with flash gave the picture a slight glow. I think the focus plays a big part in photograph, its starts off with an empty candle holder then drawing the eye to the light up candle gradually fading away with the other empty holders.
Angle was created by hand holding the camera tilting it to its side a little.
After taking the photo I've transferred it over to my laptop and opened it in Adobe Photoshop 7. I've edited this image slightly only by increasing the brightness a little, then I added my signature. Then it was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.I've chosen this photo because of the angle and I also like the glow in the candle light.

S1/100 F5 ISO 200 WB auto Flash off
The photo was taken at the outdoor shoot with plenty natural lighting therefore no need for a flash.
Subject being this stunning front door to the Church.I thought straight away after taking this photo, that it would be best presented in black and white, because of the texture of the wood against the metal and concrete.
Firstly I transferred the image from my camera onto the laptop then opened it in Adobe Photoshop 7. Secondly saturation adjusted to -100, contrast and brightness amended. Then a vignette was created manually by using the brush tool. After that I placed my signature. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then copied onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen this photo for the final image mostly because of its textures and deep shadows. This is one of my favourite images from this group.

Well I could not chose church as my theme and not take a photo of the cross. The most important symbol in religion.
To achieve an interesting angle I tilted the camera slightly, while standing slightly underneath the cross looking up. I made sure I was standing the right spot to place the cross right in between the 2 figures of Apostles I thought it would make the photograph more creative by presenting different textures within the frame.
After taking image was transferred from my camera onto the laptop then opened in Adobe Photoshop 7 and the contrast was slightly adjusted to enhance the colours. Then a brightness increased and my signature added. Image saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.
I've chosen this photo because of the amazing gold colour of the cross.

It was then edited by increasing the contrast slightly and adjusting brightness. Then I've created a vignette by using the brush tool and added my signature. After that image was saved onto my laptop, then transferred onto my memory stick for backup.I've chosen this image as my final because of the textures in as well as the shadows.
All images were taken as a RAW file. After they were edited and backed up they were converted to a jpg file and posted onto my online blog. All images taken of the same Church, both inside and outside. Permission from the Vicar was granted. The details of both shuts posted already on my blog.
All health and safety measures were taken whilst taking and editing photographs.
1 photograph I took last year but during this course therefore I thought its fine to use it.
All images have my signature a separate post how I did that can be found on my blog.
